Square Fish
Square Fish
The Square Fish is a five-fin fish-influenced performance shortboard that complements progressive surfing.
The OG is well-suited for smaller waves, larger riders, and conditions that favor more planning area.
(NEW) The Red Label complements aggressive/powerful turns and aerial-type maneuvers in a huge range of conditions.
Favors: Aerial maneuvers, rail turns, barrel riding
Waves: 2-6 Feet
Build: Epoxy
The Squarefish has an abundance of planing area, a perfect balance of rail engagement and tail release, and it complements powerful / more dynamic type surfing.
The outline is somewhat fuller, with a pushed apex, a long streamlined hip phase, and a wide square tail that maximizes planing.
The rocker begins with a mild flip and low entry, blends to a long flat-ish primary, and finishes with a soft kick out the tail.
The hull is flat at the nose, progresses into a shallow single concave, and finishes with a slight flat-vee at the tail.
The rails are tapered and low, with a hard edge that extends from the tail block to forward of the front fins.
The center buoyancy and center of mass are balanced and neutral to the rocker apex.
