California Flake Sea Salt begins with seawater that’s harvested from the rich Pacific Ocean waters near California’s Northern Channel Islands.

The water used to make our artisan flake salt crystals is collected during the calm fall season, far offshore, and from within cold deep middle water-column zones. It’s triple-filtered and slowly evaporated in natural sunlight and wind to produce a crystal that’s vibrant crisp, with a light texture, and a smooth finish.
