Wasabi is a revered culinary plant that offers three distinct food opportunities.

Our in-house Southern California coastal grown Wasabi starts (Wasabia japonica daruma) are handpicked for your order, they’re carefully packaged in moist coconut husk, and shipped out the same day.

• You’ll receive one healthy bare-root Japonica Daruma rooted Wasabi rhizome with each order, along with planting instructions and tips on caring for your plant(s).

• All parts of the Wasabi plant are edible. The rhizome is flavorful and spicy, the stalk is vibrant and crisp, and the leaves are fresh and light.

• Our Wasabia is known for producing lots of leaves. Harvesting a portion of the stems and leaves regularly increases plant health and supports rhizome growth.

• Please know that Wasabi requires full shade, cool temperatures, and well-drained soil. Cooler Southern California coastal areas are generally fine.
